Biggest Recruitment And Retention Challenges Employers Face Today (2023 Manage HR Magazine)

Talent Acquisition isn’t a 4 year degree program and passion for recruitment isn’t born overnight, its developed over years of serving people and having an instinctual drive to help match people to clients and clients to people. It either becomes who you are , rather than what you do, or something you never want to do again.

And after 29 years, I can honestly say that my passion for recruitment has not wavered but only grown. I’ve seen Recruitment evolve since 1995 from blue books, to early DOS based programs, Early ATS systems to customixed ones many of us use today like Peoplesoft and Bullhorn and Workday. And now we are in the world of digital apps and transitioning to cognitive AI.

This ever changing world is what fuels me and as we enter this new unique phase with enhanced tools, I emphatically want to help organizations and individuals understand what it means and how to use them. At the core, what we do never changes and the challenges of 25 years ago still exist today in the balance of recruitment and retention.
